WorkHealth
WorkHealth is a voluntary program promoting health and wellbeing by offering all Victorian employers the chance to provide their workers with free WorkHealth checks.. WorkHealth is brought to you by WorkSafe Victoria and is part of the Victorian Government's plan to improve the health of the Victorian workers and the productivity of workplaces.
WorkHealth is now available in all regions across Victoria, including Ballarat and the Golden Plains Shire.
WorkHealth is giving employers the opportunity to offer their workers free, confidential and convenient WorkHealth checks.
The benefits of providing WorkHealth checks include:
· They're fast and they happen in the workplace
· They encourage workers to learn about the state of their health and recommend actions that are easy and practical to implement
· They give employers the chance to kick-start health and wellbeing programs in the workplace
By participating in WorkHealth checks, workers get to learn more about their risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. WorkHealth checks look at factors that impact on personal health such as diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption.
