Podiatry
About the service
Podiatry is a health profession that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and management of a wide range of lower limb and foot problems.
Our care includes
General foot care
Relief from painful corns and callouses
Foot care for At Risk patients, with vascular and neurological assessments, e.g. Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis
Orthotics and gait analysis
Nail Surgery
Children's foot and gait problems
Footwear advice
A volunteer transport service for patients with mobility problems
A home visiting service for the house bound patient
We are a self-funding, not for profit organisation. No doctors referral is required, except for Department of Veteran Affairs clients.
Hours of Operation
Appointments are available from 8:30am - 4:45 pm Monday to Friday.
Location
The clinic is located at the Ballarat District Nursing and Healthcare head office at 1818 Sturt St Ballarat. Appointments can be made by telephoning (03) 5334 1616.
Cost
As a not for profit organisation, our fees are very competitive for services and products (orthotics).
Private initial visit $50, ongoing $43
Pensioner initial visit $40, ongoing $33
Student initial visit $40, ongoing $33
HICAPS and EFTPOS available.
